Movie 43 (2013) Review
Movie 43 (Bob Odenkirk and others)
I first saw the trailer and was intrigued by all the prominent celebs in it although I didn’t see how at the time, they were connected in plot. The previews for the movie caught my eye but all the bad reviews made me want to see it even more.
What you need to understand is that the movie is a bunch of “short films or shorts” showed almost back to back. The skits are raunchy, obscene and most will make you smile if not laugh. The actors are top notch and delivered flawlessly. They portrayed their characters well and should be given kudos for taking on a role knowing the flack they would receive due to the type of material. There is nudity and some language but not nearly what is shown or heard in mainstream movies. The movie covers all the taboos and if you get offended easily, just don’t watch it. Be sure to watch the credits for out-takes and a extra raunchy short afterwards.
I gave it 3.5 stars for being out of the box and getting top notch actors like Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Richard Gere and so many others and not caring what the super sensitive whiners would say about the outrageous-ness of the skits.
Rated R for strong pervasive crude and sexual content including dialogue, graphic nudity, language and some violence
I wouldn’t recommend for anyone under 17.
